‘Rain’ is a short drama written by Eoin O’Keeffe and produced by James O’Connor. This story is told from the perspective of rain itself, looking down over the world and observing the darker side of human behaviour. This piece was produced for the Production assignment exam on the Radio Broadcaster and Digital Journalist Traineeship. DISCLAIMER - This piece covers themes of depression and suicide in a graphic manner. Listener discretion is advised.

 Covid 19: No Song & Dance | Short Feature

The Covid – 19 pandemic has consumed all our lives since March 2020 and one group of people whose livelihoods were completely wiped out by the virus are the professional singers, musicians, dancers, and DJ’s of County Kerry. This short feature looks at how the global pandemic has affected these professional performers and what the future holds for them in these uncertain times. This piece was broadcast on Joe McGill’s Saturday Supplement Programme on Radio Kerry, 1st of August 2020.

This documentary was broadcast on Joe McGill's Saturday Supplement programme on Radio Kerry on the 21st March 2020.

It was put together by some of the students who are doing the Radio Prouducer and Digital Journalist Traineeship in Kerry College, Tralee.

This documentary focuses on the many different ways that people can escape their every day life, their struggles and their worries even just for a little while.

Radio Kerry Nativity Report | Sketch

This comedy piece was produced for Radio Kerry for Christmas 2019. It’s a four-minute news report delivered in a factual manner about the birth of Jesus as if it happened today. It contains a scripted news segment as well as a report ‘live from Bethlehem’ which contains an interview with one of the Three Kings.

 Melody Spotlight | Podcast

In 2019 I began producing my own podcast called The Melody Spotlight Podcast. In each episode of this music podcast, an artist is put under the spotlight, with a discussion about the artist’s history and background, discography and much much more.

In episode one of the podcast I discussed the American indie - folk band, Bon Iver. This podcast is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and on Buzzsprout.
